David J. Oliver
President
David Oliver formed Jaz Development, LLC in 2008 after spending nearly a quarter century - and three distinct booming and distressed market cycles – analyzing, procuring, investing in, building, leasing and managing commercial real estate.
He spent 16 years with the Stafford Properties, Inc., serving as its President from 2002 until he resigned in 2008 to pursue his own development and management company, Jaz. With Stafford Properties since its inception in 1992, Oliver was involved in all aspects of real estate management, leasing and development and helped grow the portfolio to over $300 million in value and three million square feet. The real estate holding and management company developed and acquired properties in seven states. Recent projects include the development of commercial land, shopping centers, retail build-to-suit, and mixed-use projects.
Prior to joining Stafford, Oliver was a leasing and development manager for Crim & Associates developing 20 unanchored specialty retail centers from 1985 - 1992. It was at Crim where he learned leasing and negotiation, signing more than 50 leases per year and being an Atlanta Board of Realtors top ten producer.
Mr. Oliver is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR). He has been a member of the ACBR Million Dollar Club every year since 1985, receiving the Phoenix Award in 1997. He is a 1984 graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Management and resides in Atlanta with his wife and children.
